After A Photo From Her Live TV Segment Went Viral, Larsa Pippen Responded To Criticism Of Her 'Noticeably Overfilled' Appearance
Last week, Larsa Pippen found herself at the center of public attention after a photo of her on Fox 5's Good Night New York went viral. Larsa, 51, was criticized for her appearance, with several internet users — including cosmetic professionals, like Dr. Mai Kaga — sharing their thoughts. Kaga, who is a board-certified aesthetics provider, said that the Real Housewives star looked 'noticeably overfilled' in a now-viral video. 'Larsa Pippen, Real Housewives of Miami, has all the money in the world, and ended up looking like this,' she said, suggesting that Larsa's filler had 'gone wrong.' Even with unlimited funds, choosing the right injector matters.' Before long, Larsa hopped into the comments to address all the talk around her appearance. 'Honey I had PRP and had an allergic reaction so chill out,' she wrote. PRP refers to platelet-rich plasma, which is a cosmetic procedure that involves a patient's own blood cells being injected back into their face in order to 'accelerate healing in a specific area,' per Johns Hopkins Medicine. Related: Larsa doubled down in a video shared to her Instagram stories, in which she said, 'Hey guys, you can relax. I had PRP on my face a couple days ago, so my face was a bit swollen. It looks like it's coming down. So you guys can just calm down.' And later on, the reality star shared another video addressing the photo. "So, I feel like that photo went viral… I'm wondering if someone made it look like that, because this is what my face looks like, you guys. I am on TV, so you know what I look like," she said. The biggest culprit here is nobody saying NO. No to unnecessary treatments, no to too much filler, no the wrong procedures. Whose fault is it? The patient or the injector?' She also wrote in the comments, 'Double board certified physician here AKA Honey. Allergic reactions to PRP are extremely rare. You simply will not find allergies to your own blood cells all that common. Second- allergic reactions don't last 3 seasons on a streaming network. Honestly, this post really was not about Larsa, but about cautioning the current and future generations about being over treated and overfilled, unnecessarily and covering up your own natural features that make you uniquely beautiful. Kim Kardashian's ex-pal Larsa Pippen, 50, displays a puffier face as a surgeon weighs in on what she may have done
Kim Kardashian 's former friend Larsa Pippen made an appearance during a segment of Good Night New York in NYC on Wednesday evening. The Real Housewives Of Miami star, 50, seemed puffier than usual as she was beautifully made up and wearing a sleeveless floral-print dress. The Daily Mail has talked to a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon about what she may have done to her face. 'It looks like she has gotten some fresh fillers for summer,' said Dr Kahn to the Daily Mail. 'Her lips are swollen so she likely had plenty of filler on both the top and bottom lips for a fuller feeling.' And there was more: 'It is also likely she had Botox on her forehead because there is not one line, even when she smiles.' Dr Kahn added that the work was 'very nice' and the fillers 'are settling in as they should.' 'When she smiles it looks like a lot of puffiness, but when she is not smiling it is perfect: it's actually a pretty good amount, it works for her, she looks youthful,' he remarked. She was with her much-younger boyfriend Jeff Coby who doted on his lady love. The reality TV diva started dating the Haitian-American basketball player, 31, earlier this year following her split from Marcus Jordan, 34. Despite only knowing each other for a short time, the couple are moving full steam ahead to a bigger and more serious commitment like buying an engagement ring. 'She tells me what she likes and what she doesn't like,' Coby said about Pippen's preferences. 'It's relatively collaborative at the moment.' As for the proposal and when and where is may happen, Coby told Us Weekly, 'We're both super busy at the moment.' Coby added, 'The only thing I can say is to confirm that it's coming.' During her Wednesday appearance in NYC, Pippen had a diamond ring on her wedding finger. Coby said his relationship with Pippen has made him 'a happier person,' but being in the public eye has been an adjustment for the former Columbia University basketball player 'The public eye can be crazy at times,' Coby said. 'You have to really hone in on protecting the household.' Coby added, 'It's definitely interesting because normally you go out to a restaurant, but you're not expecting a group of people outside waiting to take photos of you. 'Honestly, I think it makes us closer because we have to be cognizant of how narratives can be painted out,' he said. 'You really just want to do things that reflect the other person in the best light possible.' Larsa was previously married to NBA Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen from 1997 to 2021. The couple shares four kids: Scotty Jr., 24, Preston, 22, Justin, 19, and Sophia, 16. Larsa also had an on-again, off-again relationship with Marcus Jordan, the son of NBA legend and Chicago Bulls teammate of Scottie's, Michael Jordan. They dated for two years before calling it quits in March 2024. DBC Fitness owner David Alexander reportedly set Pippen and Coby up at the 10-year anniversary bash for his gym at ZZs Club Miami on January 9. The Florida-born baller entered the 2017 NBA Draft but he did not get drafted and he last played for the Yamaguchi Patriots in 2023. The divorced mother-of-four was previously engaged to NBA legend Michael Jordan's son Marcus Jordan, but they ended their on/off two-year relationship in March 2024. Marcus is now facing charges of cocaine possession.
